Biography

Professor Li is devoted to the teaching, research and practices in structural engineering. He is the director of the Institute of Traffic Engineering and disaster Prevention of College of Civil Engineering in Taiyuan University of Technology. His research interests include large-span spatial structures, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and bridge structure.He has been the principle investigator for more than 20 research grants from the National Natural Science Funds, provincial and ministerial-level scientific research and horizontal scientific research projects and so on. He has been awarded 11 provincial prizes. He has published more than 150 papers, and gained 2 patents. In addition, Professor Li has tutored more than 5 doctoral students and over 90 postgraduates.

(1) The research on new types and new nodes of spatial structure (provincial key science and technology projects has passed the provincial appraisal, won the international advanced level, and filled the domestic gap.

(2) The optimal design of the three-layer grid and the three-layer grid structure have obtained the international advanced level through the provincial appraisal, which fills the domestic gap.

(3) The new type of spatial structure ~ three-layer grid structure won the first prize for scientific and technological progress in the province.

(4) The second prize of Shanxi bilingual teaching competition. The first prize for outstanding achievements in scientific research issued by the China academic Series compilation Committee in 2004.
